Where? ETMSW Building, Basement level (1040 W Harrison St.)

These auditions are for placement into Jazz Ensemble, Jazz Combos, and Vocal Jazz Ensemble. The rehearsal schedule for each ensemble is as follows:

Jazz Ensemble: T/Th 2:00-4:00pm
Jazz Combos: T/Th 2:00-3:15pm; 6:00-7:15; 7:30-8:45pm (times may vary)
Vocal Jazz Ensemble: MW 2:00-3:30pm

Who Can Audition? Any UIC student, regardless of degree, has a place in our music ensembles and are encouraged to join. Students receiving a Music Merit Award and music degree students must meet specific ensemble obligations every semester according to their scholarship or degree plan requirements. Ensemble placement is determined by performance faculty based on audition results, scholarship/degree obligations, ensemble needs, and student preferences.

Results: Audition results for Jazz combos & Ensembles should be posted by early evening Wednesday, and the first rehearsals will be on Thursday, August 24. Audition results for Vocal Jazz Ensemble will be posted by early evening Tuesday and first rehearsal will be Wednesday, August 28.
