Minoring in Music: It’s Easier than You Think
Did you know that if you’ve passed MUS 107 (Fundamentals of Music Theory) with an “A,” then you’re automatically eligible for the music minor?
Minoring in music is a great way to stay active in the arts, get a firm foundation of music essentials, and make your future resumes look even more interesting. Music minors can be combined with virtually any degree on campus, and ususally can be completed within two years. Courses include:
- Music theory
- Ear training
- Keyboard skills
- Ensembles: Band, Choir, and Orchestra are all eligible
- Music survey courses in subjects like Jazz History, Opera, and American Popular Music
Even if you haven’t yet taken MUS 107, you can still start the music minor by passing a basic entrance exam. Contact us today to explore your options!
