This season, UIC Theatre explores people who crave the life force of breaking out. Activists, incarcerated people, oppressed citizens, people trapped by the labels that society forces upon us – can we summon our strength and resilience in order to rise up? Are we stuck by fear of losing the little perks and comforts that society offers, or are we brave enough to rebel against the status quo?

The theatre and music season are dedicated to the memory of Professor Emeritus William “Bill” Kaplan in honor of his 47 years of teaching and dedication to UIC performing arts.
