Band & Orchestra Festival

14th Annual UIC Band & Orchestra Festival

UIC will host the 14^th Annual UIC Band & Orchestra Festival on Friday, March 20, 2026 at UIC’s Student Center East (750 S Halsted St).

The UIC Band & Orchestra Festival is open to bands and orchestras of all grade and ability levels. Each participating ensemble will have a concert performance, receive feedback and a clinic from festival clinicians, and have the opportunity to hear other ensembles perform.

REGISTRATION INFORMATION

Early Registration Deadline: February 1, 2026

Registration Deadline: February 15, 2026

The festival fee is $250 per ensemble when registering by the Early Registration deadline of Sunday, February 1, 2026. After this date, the festival fee is $275 per ensemble. We ask that festival fees are received by the festival on March 20, 2026.

All registered ensembles will be scheduled on a first-come, first-served basis as space allows. Directors will be notified as soon as possible in the unlikely event that we are not able to accommodate a registered ensemble.

FESTIVAL INFORMATION

Directors should program a maximum of 20 minutes of music for performance. Ensembles will be provided:

• space to store equipment and warm-up
• a public performance
• a clinic from an adjudicator following the performance
• written feedback from adjudicators
• a recording of the performance and clinic 

We encourage ensembles to stay for the duration of the festival to listen to other ensembles. Parents and members of the school community are welcome to attend and listen to ensemble performances. Ensembles will also be able to visit the Student Center East food court and/or request a campus tour during their time on campus.
