Auditions: Sunday, August 23—Tuesday, August 25, 2026 in the ETMSW building

These auditions are for placement into Wind Ensemble, Symphonic Band, Orchestra, and Chamber Music/Percussion Ensemble. The rehearsal schedule for each ensemble is as follows:

Wind Ensemble: M/W 4:00-5:50pm; F 4:00-4:50pm
Symphonic Band: M/W 6:00-7:30pm
Orchestra: T/TH 4:00-6:00pm
Chamber Music: M/W 2:00-3:00pm, M/W 3:00-4:00pm, T/TH 2:00-3:00pm, or T/TH 3:00-4:00pm
Percussion Ensemble: T 6:30-9:30pm

Who Can Audition?: Any UIC student, regardless of degree, has a place in our music ensembles and are encouraged to join. Students receiving a Music Merit Award and music degree students must meet specific ensemble obligations every semester according to their scholarship or degree plan requirements. Ensemble placement is determined by performance faculty based on audition results, scholarship/degree obligations, ensemble needs, and student preferences.
