Bassoonist Galina Kiep enjoys a versatile career as a solo, chamber, and orchestral musician. She has performed with ensembles such as the Minnesota Orchestra, the Detroit Symphony, the Grant Park Festival Orchestra, the Atlanta Symphony, and the Philadelphia Orchestra, and has been a member of the Peninsula Music Festival Orchestra and the Sarasota Opera Orchestra. She has made festival appearances at the Santa Monica Music Festival, the Pacific Music Festival, the Atlantic Music Festival, and Music from Angel Fire. In addition to her performance engagements, she is privileged to work as a music educator, currently serving on the faculties of Illinois State University, the University of Illinois Chicago, the Music Institute of Chicago, and the Sequoia Chamber Music Workshop.
Outside of music, Galina enjoys quiet time at home, and long walks in nature.
