Guillermo Duarte graduated with a Bachelors of Arts in Communication and Spanish at the University of Illinois at Chicago. In his short career, he has produced advertisement and media content for a variety of organizations, brands, and corporations including Millennium Park and MillerCoors.  In 2014, Guillermo pioneered a Communication Department for Cicero School District 99, where he rebranded the school district and implemented new communication tools for community outreach, such as the use of social media, newsletters and the rollout of a new website for a community of nearly 13,000 students and 1,200 staff. 

In 2016, Guillermo launched his own creative agency, Ajúa Media, dedicated to promoting Latin American music by creating events and media content to support local and international musicians in Chicago. Through his agency, Guillermo has worked with Latin Grammy award-winning musicians including Monsieur Perine, Natalia Lafourcade, and MonLaferte. His event series, ¡Pachanga! has received raving reviews by the Chicago Tribune, WGN Radio’s The CornerStore with Kevin Coval, WBEZ’s Vocalo with Jesus Echeveria and Gozamos online magazine.  His event series has been invited to participate in various festivals including Red Bull Xicago, Mamby on the Beach, North Coast Music Festival, Wicker Park Fest, Michelada Festival, Mole de Mayo, and Navy Pier's LatinXt. He is committed to promoting music through effective branding and build on the community of motivated musicians and artists in Chicago.
