Erin is the Production Manager for theatre. Prior to joining the faculty at UIC, Erin had been the Technical Director at Michigan State University, Scene Shop Supervisor for Steppenwolf Theatre Company, and the Technical Director for the Performing Arts at UNC-Charlotte. She has had the pleasure of working around the country with many companies as a freelance artisan and technician including Opera Theatre of Saint Louis, Williamston Theatre, and the Ohio Light Opera. She is an active member of United States Institute for Theatre Technology in several commissions and Vice-Commissioner for Safety & Health in the Scene Design Commission. Her current research interests include repetitive injury prevention for technicians and historic fabrication methods of illusions for stage.
