The UIC Band and Orchestral Festival features Chicagoland high school ensembles in an on-campus concert, with feedback and an in-depth clinic from university music faculty. Students in the featured ensembles will experience an enhanced and energized performance experience. Bands and orchestras early in their rehearsal rehearsal process are encouraged

Payment must be submitted by check and must be received by February 24. Accepted ensembles will receive a welcome packet including:
• Personalized event and performance schedule
• Directions to campus with parking information
• Local dining options within Student Center East and the neighborhood, including historic Greektown
• Load-in and load-out instructions
• List of UIC-provided percussion equipment

On the application, please indicate your group's preferred performance time. Performances will last up to 20 minutes, followed by a 30 minute clinic with UIC faculty. We encourage you to include time in your schedule to listen to other bands, and explore our campus. You may choose to come early to listen to ensembles or stay later, however there is no guarantee of instrument storage outside of the time of your festival activities.
Please plan to program a maximum of 20 minutes of music, including time between pieces. You should plan to provide three sets of scores for the adjudicators on the day of performance.
